I am so excited to announce my second ever giveaway!

You can enter to win your very own copy of Mabel D.F. Cowie's first book, Awakenings.
(See my full review below)

This is a fun young adult fantasy novel that I would recommend for readers 10 and up.  I think it would be enjoyed by even younger kids if you read it aloud.

You can have two entries:

1) Leave a comment, telling me why you'd like to read this book.

2) Link up to this giveaway on your blog, and then tell me you did in the comments.

Deadline to enter is Sunday, December 18 at midnight.  I will draw a number randomly and announce it Monday morning.

Good Luck!

OK. Basically three reasons:
1) Any book you give a good recommendation to is a winner
2) I need to keep up with my "teen" grandchildren
3) Just because you know the author personally makes me want to read it

Because you wouldn't give it away if it wasn't good, and because Emma has been floundering for something good to read lately, and I love free stuff. :)

Oh, fun! I want to read it because I spent a few days in Scotland years ago and fell in love with the place and would love to read a story that takes place there! And I'd love to have it to read to my kids and/or for them to read as they grow. Also because I trust your recommendations. :) How fun to know the author!

Hey Kammy,

What caught my eye first as I read your review was your words that Mabel has and "Admirable" imagination. I don't read this kind of book often but it does sound fun and I am always looking for great books to share with my kiddos. I am intrigued and also excited to read it!

By the way, I have linked the contest to my blog . . .

Thanks for the fun!!!

Yay, fun Kammy! I have a 12-yr-old voracious reader whose school librarian cannot keep enough books ready for him! I love that he's taken after me :)

I'm copying and pasting Kelley's comment from the other thread:

I would love to win this book! Why? Because I have spent the last 1 1/2 years reading history books for teaching others...I could use some fantastic fantasy!
Besides, Mabel is a beautiful, fun, creative, delightful person & she lives too far away from me!!!
